Brayden Watson Climbs to Seventh in Kokomo Klash!

(October 18, 2021) The Watson Racing team wrapped up their 2021 campaign on Sunday, October 17 in the annual running of the 'Kokomo Klash' at Kokomo Speedway in Kokomo, Indiana. The Open Wheel Modified portion of the weekend shelled out an $1,122 payday and drew a stellar field of competitors to the Hoosier State oval. Brayden Watson laid down the second quickest lap in his group during the qualifying session before placing second in his stacked heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the sixth row in the headliner, Brayden was able to steer his #93w machine past a handful of cars en route to a steady seventh place effort. Watson Racing Nabs Trio of Top Tens During Jackson 100

(September 26, 2021) After over a month layoff, Brayden Watson and his #93w team returned to action at the nearby Brownstown Speedway, as the Brownstown, Indiana oval played host to a trio of $1,000 to win Open Wheel Modified events during the 'Jackson 100' weekend from September 23-25. On Thursday night in the opener, which was the conclusion of the 'Indiana Icebreaker' feature from back in March, Brayden started towards the front and knocked down a solid fifth place performance behind only race winner Randy Shuman, Dylan Woodling, Andy Shirley, and Jacoby Hines.

At Brownstown on Friday evening in the 'Night Before the Jackson,' Brayden placed second in his loaded heat race prior to running ninth in the feature event. A huge crowd then assembled at the famed 1/4-mile, fairgrounds oval on Saturday for the 42nd Annual 'Jackson 100.' Brayden brought home an impressive heat race triumph before finishing sixth in the $1,000 to win main event. Brayden Watson Solid During Long North/South 100 Weekend

(August 15, 2021) The Watson Racing team invaded Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky from August 12-14 for the 38th Annual 'North/South 100.' On Thursday night during the $1,000 to win weekend opener, Brayden Watson led most of his heat race before finishing second and later rolled off from the outside of the fifth row in the $1,000 to win main event. During the course of the 20-lap Open Wheel Modified contest, Brayden fought hard for a top ten showing before winding up fourteenth at the unfurling of the checkered flag.

At the Cincinnati-area facility on Friday evening, Brayden moved past two competitors during his heat race to finish eighth prior to grabbing the second transfer spot through his B-Main. In Saturday's weekend finale, which boasted a $2,000 payday for the open wheel warriors, the Bedford, Indiana youngster steered past four racecars en route to an eighteenth place performance. Watson Nabs Top Five in Jackson County Fair Finale!

(August 1, 2021) Brayden Watson and his #93w team headed to the nearby Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana from July 29-31 for a pair of Open Wheel Modified events during the Jackson County Fair. On Thursday night in a $600 to win throwdown, Brayden placed eighth in his heat race before advancing up to finish eighth in the headliner. At Brownstown again on Saturday evening, Brayden won his heat race in preliminary action prior to knocking down a solid fifth place performance in the A-Main behind only $800 victor Jordan Wever, Ryan Thomas, Derek Groomer, and Brent Lee! Brayden Watson Returns to Action at Florence; Finishes Sixth

(July 25, 2021) Following multiple weeks off crewing for Tyler Nicely on the DIRTcar Summer Nationals trail, Brayden Watson returned to action on Saturday evening, July 24 at Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky. Brayden moved past a trio of competitors in his heat race to finish second, which enabled him to roll off from the outside of the second row for the start of the $1,000 to win headliner. Hoping the bottom groove would be there for the feature, Brayden tried it out before jumping up to the top against the wall. He slipped back two positions during the course of the A-Main and was officially credited with a sixth place performance. Top Five for Watson Racing at Twin Cities Raceway Park

(June 6, 2021) After a couple of weekends off from racing action, the Watson Racing team returned to competition on Saturday, June 5 at Twin Cities Raceway Park in Vernon, Indiana. A weekly Open Wheel Modified program was held and a $600 winner's check was up for grabs. Brayden Watson laid down the fastest lap in his group during the qualifying session before being inverted to third in his heat race and finishing third. After rolling off from the inside of the third row in the 20-lap main event, Brayden fought hard to stay up inside of the top five and eventually guided his #93w machine to steady fifth place performance. Watson Runner-Up in Tripleheader Finale at Brownstown!

(May 16, 2021) Brayden Watson and his #93w team entered a tripleheader from May 12-15 at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana and Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, Indiana. On Wednesday night in a special $1,000 to win midweek show for the Open Wheel Modifieds at Brownstown, Brayden timed in third quickest in his group during qualifying, but later slipped back to fifth in his stacked heat race. After starting the A-Main from the outside of the seventh row, Brayden moved past a trio of racecars in the feature to salvage an eleventh place showing.

At Bloomington Speedway on Friday evening, a $3,009 top prize was up for grabs in the 'Roddy Strong Memorial.' Brayden stopped the clock eighth fastest in his group during qualifying before moving up to fifth in his heat race. By virtue of another driver scratching, the Bedford, Indiana driver transferred into the feature field and eventually netted a solid tenth place performance. Back at Brownstown on Saturday in a weekly contest, Brayden earned Fast Time honors in qualifying, ran second in his heat race, and later notched a runner-up effort in the headliner behind only $600 victor Jacoby Hines! Brayden Watson Ninth in First Visit to Florence Speedway!

(May 2, 2021) Following a rain-out on Friday night at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio, the Watson Racing team made their first visit to Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday evening, May 1. In the 35th edition of the 'Ralph Latham Memorial,' the American Modified Series (AMS) sanctioned a $1,500 to win shootout at the Cincinnati-area facility. Brayden Watson clicked off the sixth fastest lap in his group during the qualifying session and battled hard to grab the fourth and final transfer spot through his stacked heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the eighth row in the A-Main, Brayden streaked up inside of the top ten and eventually earned a respectable ninth place performance against some of the top modified drivers in the country.
